About Burkland
Precision Manufacturing Built on Experience

A History of Precision
Since 1980, Burkland Inc. has built its business around a simple principle: precision matters.
Our roots are connected to the long tradition of precision fine blanking, a manufacturing process with origins in the Swiss watchmaking industry. On a much smaller scale, early fine blanking techniques were used to produce the delicate gears and components required in precision timepieces. Over time, the technology, tooling, and equipment evolved to support larger, more demanding industrial applications.
Burkland’s relationship with Schmid technology began in 1975, helping establish a foundation in the fine blanking methods and equipment that continue to influence the company’s approach today. That foundation, combined with decades of hands-on manufacturing experience, has helped Burkland develop the knowledge needed to produce precision metal components for a wide range of applications.
Today, from our 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, Burkland applies modern equipment, in-house tooling, and a practical production approach to manufacture components where edge quality, flatness, perpendicularity, dimensional accuracy, and repeatable performance are critical.

Built for Manufacturing
While manufacturing technology continues to advance, our focus remains the same: understand the part, understand the application, and deliver a reliable manufacturing solution that supports the customer’s long-term needs. Burkland produces precision metal components and assemblies for customers with demanding application requirements.
Our work is centered on fine blanking and the production of parts where edge quality, flatness, perpendicularity, dimensional accuracy, and consistency from part to part are important. We understand that a component is not simply defined by its shape. Material selection, thickness, critical features, tolerances, functional surfaces, and how the part performs in its final application all influence the manufacturing approach.
Burkland takes a practical, detail-focused approach to every program. We begin by understanding the part and the customer’s requirements, then apply the processes, tooling, and production support needed to manufacture a reliable result.
